ABOUT THE SHERO SCHOLARSHIP
The Shero Scholarship is designed to recognize, celebrate, and support the exceptional achievements and potential of remarkable women. This scholarship aims to break down barriers, foster equality, and empower the next generation of female leaders across diverse fields.
Additionally, for applicants who demonstrate exceptional financial need, we have a limited number of partial and full scholarships available to further assist with the cost of the retreat. Our focus is not only on offering financial support but also on recognizing your potential as a leader and empowering you to make a lasting impact in your chosen field and in uplifting other women. We believe that investing in your personal growth and leadership journey will have a ripple effect, positively influencing communities and inspiring others to strive for excellence.
1. Gender
The Shero Scholarship is exclusively available to female applicants.
2. leadership potential
Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership potential and a history of leadership roles or initiatives. This can include holding leadership positions in school clubs or organizations, community involvement, activism, or other notable leadership experiences.
3. personal achievements
The scholarship committee will consider the applicant's personal achievements and accomplishments outside of academics. This can include artistic endeavors, entrepreneurial initiatives, community service, or any other noteworthy accomplishments.
4. commitment to empowerment
Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to empowering and uplifting women. This can be through involvement in organizations or initiatives that promote gender equality, advocacy for women's rights, or efforts to mentor and support other women.
5. field of interest
The scholarship aims to support women across diverse fields. Applicants can come from any area of study, including but not limited to nonprofit leadership, faith-based programming, STEM, arts, humanities, social sciences, business, and entrepreneurship.
6. financial need
Consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need. This can be through providing information about their family income, financial challenges, or other relevant circumstances.
7. PERSONAL STATEMENT
Applicants are required to submit a personal statement outlining their aspirations, leadership experiences, and how the scholarship will help them make a lasting impact in their life and in empowering other women. Personal statements should be around 500 to 1000 words.
8. VIDEO SUBMISSION
Applicants must submit a one-minute video explaining why they want to be part of the Hero's Journey retreat and how they believe this experience will enhance their leadership skills. The video should showcase their communication abilities and passion for personal growth and empowerment.
